What a great hotel, one side of the building feels like a traditional Scottish hunting lodge with wee social areas, the other side is a warm stove heated cosy bar and restaraunt, usually you have to leave the hotel to find a place like this but here you have both in one building, wasn't expecting the food to be so good.

A perfect blend of hospitality, heart, and Arisaig spirit. We popped into the Arisaig Hotel bar for one last evening with no extra expectations - and left even more completely charmed, thanks to Katie. She recommended we try the Strontian Gin, a local small-batch spirit we’d never heard of. One sip and we were hooked - it was clean, complex, and utterly rooted in the landscape. When we said we’d love to buy a bottle, Katie didn’t just nod and move on. She brought over a beautifully curated leaflet of the distillery’s full range and, sensing our excitement, offered us a tasting flight of their other gins then and there. No pressure, no hard sell - just genuine pride in something local and brilliant. That tasting sealed it - of course we bought a bottle. But more than that, we felt like we’d been invited into a story, not just served a drink. The Arisaig Hotel bar is everything a Highland bar should be: warm, well-stocked, and full of soul. And Katie? She’s the heart of it. If you’re lucky enough to stop in, ask her what’s on the shelf that isn’t in the big shops. You might just discover your new favourite gin - and walk out with more than you bargained for.

This Hotel has charm. It's a old hotel, with a cozzyness that defies the port, the damp and the coolness of the country. The rooms are modest, but have everything you need and a few pleasant extras (biscuits and tea). I am so glad I stayed the night here. It filled me with warmth and joy. Having a physical key made me very excited for whatever nostalgic reason. Rooms were clean and warm. The bar next attatched was full of life, laughter and delicous food. I arrived hoping to get out of the rain and cold, and in turn I was blown away.

Belated review from Easter as my Google maps wasn't working but looks like it's still wonderful... This is a lovely hotel. Great location - just by the marina for ferry trips and near to the train station for direct trains to Glasgow / Fort William. The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful with recommendations, including our new favourite whisky (Caol Ila) and a stunning hidden gem of a beach nearby (Rhu Point - look it up on Google maps in satellite view to see how lovely it is) and their tips for our onward journey as well. They were also great with the kids. Rooms were clean and was great to have a family room with a sea view. Food in the restaurant was lovely too - felt like a spot that locals go to eat as well. Good atmosphere and good food. Stayed 2 nights and no issues with running out of choices.

Stopped for lunch. Weather was nice so we sat outside. Their outdoor seating area is no-smoking and covered / sheltered from the wind. Food was excellent. Quality great and value for money. Service was quick and staff very attentive.

We are traveling around scotland and stumbled on this beautiful place. The rooms are cozy and welcoming. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming. We come in supper late at night, and they had our welcoming letter sitting at the table with instructions. The breakfast was very good. Definitely would recommend this place 10/10

Fantastic service and customer care in a great location- live music on Fridays and Saturdays is a superb bonus. Sadly we didn’t eat there but food looked great.

Great hotel in a lovely location. Room was reasonably priced and bed was comfy. Evening service in the restaurant was quite poor unfortunately. We had to ask for menus after sat waiting for 5 minutes, waited another 10 before we ordered a drink. By the time we actually got our drinks we had been there for nearly 30 minutes. It wasn't that busy and there seemed to be 4 staff on so I'm not sure why it was so slow. A lot of the tables near us took ages to get cleaned after people left too. The food did arrive reasonably quickly once we ordered and the portions were huge. Breakfast service was top notch. Very friendly and accommodating and the selection of food was great. Overall a great stay and we really enjoyed it, just a slight let down with dinner service.
